Camera-2 is a Kodak DC3400 in a weather-proof housing mounted to a mast on the roof. The camera is pointing South-West with the end of runway 9 in the center.

The archive will open in a new window. The pictures are sorted with the most recent at the bottom.

Both cameras currently update every 15 minutes. Timestamps represent the Pacific time zone (California, USA).

I am working on another camera that will be on a rotor assembly. This will allow one camera to take pictures to cover the full horizon, or at least that is the plan. Below are some pictures of the rotor unit and a link to my design notes.

Thank you for visiting. The mission of this site is to provide an additional source of information to pilots flying in the Pine Mountain Lake Airport (E45) area. Use this site at your own risk. Currently this website is being developed and may change at any time. I welcome any constructive comments you may have at this e-mail address: kwallace@wallacecompany.com

I am planning to provide information that may not be available from other resources -- mainly views of the area designed to help pilots assess near-time weather and visibility. If interest (money) deems appropriate, more views (maybe with pan and zoom) and more information will be presented.

The inspiration for this site is the Zurich airport webcam (link) and a series of webcams in Alaska (link). I see no reason other than lack of "interest" for not making this site a real value to area and visiting pilots.
